USA Today Must Listen: THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS

Lauren meets up with Jessie Potts at USA TODAY's HEA blog to dive into THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS....and they're hungry!

What is it?

Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, number one New York Timesbest-selling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.

Lauren: I’m practically jittery with excitement over The Language of Thorns. It’s required reading if you’re a fan of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse, and it won’t disappoint. As Leigh describes it, these are the fairy tales and folklore the characters in her books would have known and read when they were children, so it’s totally appropriate to start here if you haven’t listened to anything else, but also it’s a delicious way to weave in additional stories from this world.

Speaking of delicious, I don’t know what it is about fable food … but the culinary descriptions will leave you drooling. This tome features some of the most scrumptious savoring ever penned. Can this be a romance post about food? Read whilst baking!

Head over to the HEA blog to read the full interview and listen to a sample of THE LANGUAGE OF THORS.
